Details of each assessment task:
Assessment 2: Quiz 1 & Quiz 2 (15% & 10%)
Students will be given two quizzes to uncover their basic grasp on PERSONALITY concepts as covered in class. Will be open online on MyTimes. DO NOT DO THE QUIZ ON CAMPUS. Find a place with stable internet connection before starting as the quiz will not be reopened for technical errors or if you forget to do them. The quiz will be open for a period of a week and you will have 1 hour to finish it once you press the start button.
Assessment 1: Group Work – Personality Activity (25%) Submission: Week 11
Group Video Assignment: “Personality Showcase”
To collaboratively explore personality theories, demonstrate creativity, and apply psychological concepts through an entertaining video presentation.
Instructions:
1. Group Formation:
Form. groups of 5-7students from YOUR OWN TUTORIALS. Each group will work together to create a video.
2. Topic Selection:
Choose one personality theory (e.g., psychoanalytic, humanistic, trait theory) as the central theme for your video. The same theory will be used for your presentation.
Research and understand the key concepts associated with your chosen theory.
3. Video Creation:
Create a 2-5 minute video that includes the following components:
Introduction:
Introduce your group and the purpose of the video in a brief and fun way
Briefly explain the relevance of personality theories in understanding human behavior.
Theory Spotlight:
Present a concise overview of your chosen personality theory.
Use visuals (slides, animations, or props) to enhance understanding.
Real-Life Scenarios:
Act out relatable scenarios that illustrate the theory (e.g., role-play, skits, interviews).
Show how the theory applies to everyday situations.
Expert Insights:
Interview a psychology professor or practitioner (virtually or in-person) to share their perspective on the theory. Include their insights in your video.
Creative Element:
Add an imaginative twist! Maybe a fictional character embodies the theory or a humorous segment related to personality traits.
Conclusion:
Summarize key points and leave the audience with a thought-provoking question related to personality.
4. Technical Requirements:
Use any video editing software (e.g., iMovie, Adobe Premiere, or smartphone apps).

Be creative with transitions, music, and effects.
You need not show your face and the whole video can be animated

Assignment Overview:
In this group presentation, you will collaboratively explore personality theories and apply them to a chosen individual. Your task involves thorough research, creative storytelling, and effective communication. Remember to make your presentation both informative and captivating!
Instructions:
Topic Selection:
Choose one individual for analysis:
Real-Life Personality: Select a well-known historical figure, celebrity, or someone personally known to you.
Movie Character: Choose a fictional character from a movie, TV show, or book.
Research and gather information about the chosen individual.
Theory Application:
Using the theory that was discussed in the video assignment, analyze your chosen individual.
Additional Theory (up to 3):
Any other relevant theory (e.g., behaviorist, social cognitive, or biological theories).

Assessment Task 4: Final Assessment (40%)
Final assessment will include multiple choice questions, short answer questions and an essay. The assessment will be during exam week in Week 15. Please do not book any flight tickets from week 15-18 until you receive your final exam timetable as EC will no longer be given for this reason
