COURSE CODE & TITLE: Healthcare Policy and Management I, HSCI 3101/OL31 [16763]
COURSE MODALITY & STRUCTURE
This is an online mix section with eight (8) synchronous (live) online sessions and seven (7) asynchronous online sessions. The course content will be delivered via Brightspace and all assignments are to be submitted via this application. Assignments are completed asynchronously; however, they must be submitted by the established deadline.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course addresses the interplay between policy, social justice, market forces, and social determinants of health to understand how services are delivered, accessed, and financed with an international comparison. Classes are forums of discussion emphasizing present-day issues related to healthcare management, policy, professionals, facilities, and technology. A grade of C or better is required.
