Students are required to do a critical analysis of a situation and write a report using theory learned in the unit.

Students are required to submit concise and comprehensive answers that rely on the logic and the theory learned in the unit.

The cover page, table of contents, and reference list are not included in the word count. Please also print the total word count on the cover page.

The submission is via plagiarism-checking service Turnitin (in Assessments on Blackboard). Your answers must be in your own words. You are not allowed to copy any text from other sources (including, but not limited to, lecture materials and computer-generated content including ChatGPT) and present it as your own. Copied text will be considered as plagiarism and misconduct.

You may utilise bullet points, headings, subheadings, graphs, tables, etc. Please don't forget to do your research and utilise proper referencing (Chicago 17th B Referencing style). You are expected to use at least eight (8) diRerent scholarly journal articles, such as peer-reviewed scholarly journal articles, newspapers, government articles, book, edited book, etc. (please check the library guide if you are uncertain about the definition of a scholarly journal), published within the past ten years to support your arguments and discussions.

The critical analysis situation is as follows:

You are the CEO of a company that must choose between making a $100 million investment in Russia or Poland. Both investments promise the same long-run return, so your choice is driven by risk considerations. Assess the various risks of doing business in each of these nations by analysing the Legal, Political and Economic systems. Which investment would you favour and why?
